From one of our residents:

San Diego County has a free food program for seniors ONLY…it is not wellfare…. You can call 211 at county offices and register for the “Great Plates” seniors program with free delivery at NO COST TO SENIORS. We have been on it now for 2 weeks and the food is good. The menus are prepared by a restaurant and the delivery DAILY (7 days a week) between 10:30 and 1:30 any and ALL SENIORS can qualify just call on the phone 211 and follow the prompts to the “Great Plates” program and answer a few questions of age, birthday, address, and diet restrictions and you will qualify.
