Try A Pi Loaner Program

The Magnolia Mobile News team has purchased 6 brand new Raspberry Pi Model 3 A+ computer kits to be loaned out to park residents:

These computer kits will be loaned for periods of 1 week (with additional weeks possible) to let our residents try them out. The loans will be given to people who either don’t have any computer at all or who may have another computer but would like to try out a Raspberry Pi. If you’re interested, just ask!

Each computer kit contains everything except an HDMI television screen:

These same kits have been available on sale for $29.99 at Micro Center in Tustin California (sale price as of February 26, 2021). Their regular price of $64.99 is still very affordable (they may be more or less when you check their web site):

These affordable little computers are great because they can be used to fearlessly explore computing applications without needing (or possibly “messing up”) another computer. Many computer users are afraid to explore their own computers for fear of “breaking” something that they might depend on. These Raspberry Pi loaners can be restored to factory condition in a few minutes just by swapping out the micro-SD card. So there’s nothing to fear when exploring with these loaners. Each loaner kit comes with:

  • Raspberry Pi Model 3 A+ computer
  • Protective red and white case
  • Keyboard (wired)
  • Mouse (wired)
  • Power supply
  • HDMI cable to connect to an HDMI television or monitor

If you’d like to try out one of these great little computers, please contact us at Magnolia Mobile News.
